Background
Applications are now being accepted for two (2) Temporary Part-Time MMS Clerks. The successful applicants will be required to work 0830-1630, 1000-1800, and 1200-2000 Monday – Sunday. The candidates have a commitment to work 37.5 hours biweekly. This position is anticipated to end on or before September 30, 2023.
Reporting to the Operations Manager of the Mobile. Medical. Support. (MMS) unit, the MMS Clerk will assist with the responsibilities of mobile community outreach across Windsor-Essex. They will work directly on the mobile MMS unit with the client population and nursing team, directing clients through registration and to the appropriate team member(s) for health care. This is a mobile team that spans throughout Windsor-Essex County as the MMS team is deployed out to High Priority Communities to provide interdisciplinary Primary Care and social supports.

 

Education
• Post-secondary diploma from a recognized Medical Administration program or equivalent required

 

Qualifications
• Medical Terminology knowledge required
• Knowledge of Electronic Health Records software required
• Customer Service Training preferred
• Bilingualism is an asset
• Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and adapt to rapidly changing priorities
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively multitask and prioritize competing responsibilities
• Demonstrate leadership capabilities
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills

 

Experience
• Six (6) months related experience preferred

 

Other
• Must have a valid G driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle
• Responsible for both supply/ordering and transporting vaccines to/from the office and clinic.
