Background Applications are now being accepted for a Casual Medical Laboratory Technologist. The Medical Laboratory Technologist interacts with the patient and other health care professionals in ways that ensure that the patient’s needs are met in a caring and professional manner, and in accordance with the legislation, regulation, bylaws and policies, which govern members of the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario. The successful applicant must be able to work Monday-Sunday, including holidays. The hours of work for this position are 0700-1500, 1500-2300, 0830-1630, and 2300-0700. Unscheduled part time employees will be removed from the seniority list if they have not worked in the previous three (3) months. Education • CMLTO Registered Experience • Hematology, Blood Bank, Chemistry experience preferred • Phlebotomy Skills/Ability • Able to prioritize • Ability to work with little supervision • Willing to be on call • Participate as a member of the health care team • Computer skills • Analytical skills Other • General good health, good attendance record and a level of fitness appropriate for the demands of the position is a requirement.
