The Communications Content Creator, under the general direction of the CEO, will proactively communicate Erie Shores HealthCare’s stories by expertly and creatively curating Hospital news, events and commentary to both internal and external audiences using any and all relevant contemporary communications and marketing mediums including but not limited to traditional media, social media, blogs, internal memos, digital visual content and web. The successful applicant will be required to work Monday - Friday from 8am-4pm. Essential Job Functions - Research and develop positive stories and messaging within ESHC that the successful candidate can then effectively communicate externally and internally
- Maintain ESHC’s Website and Intranet, including Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) compliance
- Optimize the content, accessibility, and traffic on web and social media channels through graphics, databases, analytics, and interactive tools
- Create new content, including videos, photos, infographics, and other interactive elements for social media and web/intranet that align with ESHC’s communications’ goals
- Act as the online frontline brand agent by interacting with audiences in real time on various web and social media platforms
- Develop and facilitate social media user and policy awareness training internally
- Ensure web and social media content is a consistent reflection of ESHC’s brand
- Participate in education and training specific to relevant federal and provincial health and safety legislation, standards and guidelines
- Perform other duties as required
Qualifications - Post secondary diploma/degree or presently enrolled in a communications-related field preferred Graphic Design and Digital Marketing experience required
- Minimum of one (1) years working in a communications-related occupation gathering information, conducting interviews and telling stories preferred
- Ability to identify the foundation of a compelling and persuasive story narrative
- Demonstrated knowledge of web programs and social media networks such as Google Analytics, Microsoft SharePoint, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and website content management systems
- Established computer graphic design and video production skills
- Knowledge of hospital accountability
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders both verbally and in writing
- Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently, multi task and prioritize
- Demonstrated good judgment and proven analytical skills
- Experience with confidentiality
