Fortier's nursing experience included a series of nursing and leadership positions within The Ottawa Hospital, Windsor Regional Hospital, and most recently as the Interprofessional Practice, Accreditation and Research Specialist at ESHC.

Badder's previous role has been awarded, and the incumbent will be announced in the coming weeks. Fortier's position will be not be replaced as this is an addition to her current title.
ESHC is excited to take this opportunity to split the roles to align with the experience each brings to enhance our patient delivery model. A model currently adopted successfully at hospitals within our region and the province.
"With unique skill sets and a dedication to outstanding patient care directly aligned with ESHC's updated strategic priorities, it made sense to promote both Misty and Heather as we looked at models at several hospitals for best practices. Their strong credentials, respect for teamwork, and their approachable style of leadership will continue to help ESHC grow into the future," said Kennedy. "It's my pleasure to welcome Heather and Misty as we continue to build a strong footprint in Essex County for our community, staff, and patients."
ESHC is excited to highlight our internal candidates' skillset and passion, as both Badder and Fortier have been instrumental in the community's outreach during COVID-19 and the continued inner growth of the hospital.
Congratulations, Heather and Misty!
